Dr Kerry Beggs, has more than 25 years’ experience in the environment sector, and has a background in Australian terrestrial and freshwater ecology, environmental management, land management (weeds, fire, ferals) and education.

Kerry has project managed comprehensive land management works across large sites in North Queensland since 2011, including the survey and control of weeds across Defence training areas in North Queensland. She has worked in various environments where stringent biosecurity requirements were in force, such as quarantined zones on Defence sites and Wet Tropics World Heritage areas. An accomplished science communicator and educator, Kerry has a substantial publication record, is an award-winning presenter, has several years’ teaching experience in tertiary institutions, and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
